Na'vi Letter to James Cameron about the Oil Spill.

Recommended Posts

This is a letter floating around the internet , from an actual Na'Vi *Those smurf things from Avator)

Mr. Cameron,

This is an urgent message from the Na’vi. We need your help. We are under siege!

The drilling operation of a greedy multi-national corporation has gone very wrong. As a direct result our environment is being destroyed. A conservative estimate puts the daily crude oil spill at 20'000 barrels a day. That is a staggering 840'000 gallons. The ramifications for the environment are not even calculable at this point - some believe that this might be an extinction event. All we know is that without ocean-life, we are doomed.

We have come to distrust the "live" underwater feed from the corporation. We think they are not showing us the real damage. We need independent "eyes" on the sea floor so we can asses the situation. Unfortunately we don’t posses the technology to go there, but you do ...

We know that you have the means and expertise to launch a submarine that would be capable of showing us an uncensored live-feed from the seabed. Luckily, the disaster is happening outside of federal waters (12 nautical miles). You wouldn’t need a permit from the authorities to launch an operation.

We hear that your depiction of our lives in the movie "Avatar“ was a great success. We hope that you won’t forget about us in our hour of need. Please prepare to launch a submarine now. Let us know what is really going on at that disaster site, so we can take appropriate measures.

Thank you,

The Na’vi

actually they should get in touch with Gore Verbinski. It's going to be a bit harder to make those "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies now, unless they incorporate a "tar monster" into the storyline...

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

- lost cloud

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

-organized confused project

this was actually the first time where i could have some sympathy towards the mindset of slaveholders. some people just aren't able to think for themselves and have a free life.

there's another lunatic on the loose. it's out there on the streets, so be warned!

is there ever going to be a time where the use of "jazzband" is jazzband in and of itself? just wondering.

WASHINGTON — "Top kill" didn't stop the Gulf oil spill. How about something "titanic"?

Federal officials are hoping film director James Cameron can help them come up with ideas on how to stop the disastrous oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The "Avatar" and "Titanic" director was among a group of scientists and other experts who met Tuesday with officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and other federal agencies for a brainstorming session on stopping the massive oil leak.

The Canadian-born Cameron is considered an expert on underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies.

this email feels awkward... but james cameron has a history with subs and knows cameras/video. i have to admit it is a tidy idea that ties a few things together quite nicely.

See the post above yours? He's hardly deciding the future, he's just maybe adding some technical expertise in underwater videography.
