when I click on checkout, I get this message:

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect

securely to planet.mu, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely,

sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are

going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to

this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is

trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

Technical Details

planet.mu uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for www.planet.mu

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

this is in firefox, by the way. does anyone else get this? I emailed Tom at Planet Mu about this, and he said no one had ever mentioned this problem before.

The way the error message reads makes me think either their SSL certificate is expired (again, no big deal, since you know it's planet-mu you're ordering from), or you might have your settings for SSL/secure pages set wrong. Does the URL you're seeing this on have https:// (note the s) in it?

Also, if you're typing it it wrong (aka without the https://), it might be triggering that.

I just checked it myself in Firefox (latest) on XP, and I don't get a security warning on checkout - and the page is secure, so I think it might be your Firefox at fault. Try upgrading to the latest if you haven't already.

from Tom:

The problem is that the security certificate is only valid for www.planet.mu (with the www) - and is not valid for http://planet.mu/. That's actually pretty standard. Usually a secure site only has one address associated with it. Without it, you'll get the warning. As long as all links go to https://www.planet.mu/ and not https://planet.mu/ it shouldn't be an issue.
