Novation remote 25 SL

been checking these out. look pretty good. anyone got one. how big is it? looks quite thin from pictures i've seen.

i have one sitting under my desk right now, at my feet.

it looks delicious.

once it has passed suitable quarantine it will be going home to live in my house.

have you used it yet? wondering how it will work with my setup, if it has dual midi drivers so i can use it with two programs. the whole lcd parameter thing looks genuinely useful aswell as flash.

been playing with it this past few hours (fuck its 2am...it was 10pm a minute ago!).

it does in fact rock. the newest o/s upgrade and templates have maps for live 5 - which ive now installed. the machine is the perfect one stop controller. period. great rotaries (endless and fixed), good faders, a nice x-y, multi joy and very sweet velocity sensitive drum pads.

sounds great. do you know if they have multi-client drivers, basically i want to use one to control reason 3 and live 4 at the same time, re-wired. i would have thought that with a modern controller like this such things were apparant.

it does appear to have 2 drivers running - SL Remote and SL Remote(2). Not sure if this is intentional though, and not sure if you could assign it as a controller for 2 apps simultaneously. You wouldnt need two drivers though would you? Doesn't rewire route on the midi control to the slave app via the master anyway? ie you can control reason devices that are rewired to live tracks anyway? or am i talking chuff?

well, when i bought my rather uninspiring but cheap evolution mk449 or whatever its called, i had to downlaod a multi client driver so i could control reason and live simaltaniously without having to toggle between programs. this actually changed my life and live setup beyond believe so its something i would mos def have to consider when buying another keyboard. for example, my bog standard practice is having keys assigned to clips in live, and rotaries assigned to things in reason, with faders in the same keyboard assigned the track faders in live. get me?

the remote 25 SL is very nice indeed

seems to be fairlyeasy to use and the aoutomap function is the business

had a shot of one a copuple of times over the last couple of weeks and i like it

when i get my cheque in for my injury claim i will be purchasing one of my own
