I got the footage from various different home videos people have uploaded around the internet. Mostly Super8 type stuff.

This is a reminder of how awesome that track is. Otherwise, the sailbots, being so very specific, are meaningless. I have never built, cleaned or traveled in one.

If their music is abstract, it draws a doorway into ones own past. None of these boats for me. The day is nice though in the footage, that strikes me. The film is of poor quality?

If this video was moving photos of pine cones and a hapy man rolling around on the forest floor stuffing his trousers with them, I could relate, through the music, in my mind.

My point! Fan videos are a bag of bollocks. My specific ideas are my own. Why spray-paint that into the face of another? Its the I in IDM that makes it work.

Its really the gross generalization when approximating the aesthetic. Its an absolutely pointless exercise. After 10+ years the internet is still cranking out the BOC super-8 edits. It can be any footage as long as there is a child in it, and a bird. As an art tribute I think its somewhat lazy!

Pretty cool. I love home videos so much; they kind of amaze me because they are so REALLLL. BOC + home videos makes me feel good.
