I was besotted with Konnie Huq when she first appeared on telly in Eat Your Words. You would probably have to be really young to have seen that. Either that or old, like me, and up all night. According to IMDB she would've been 18 then. Mmmmm. I was invariably on acid whenever I saw that. It was a very bizarre and twisted children's gameshow with elements of borderline child abuse. Mark Spate was in it too. He killed himself later. Last night, my girlfriend told me Charlie Dimmock from Groundforce and Konnie Huq were getting maried. Which I found very hard to believe.

As a personal aside, whilst Konnie is an attractive enough lady, she doesn't really do anything for me.

On a wider note, I was a little concerned when I heard this news. I hope they're both very happy together and wish them all the best for the future, but I must admit that my immediate concern was about what this means for Charlie's output in the future. I wouldn't seek to deny the man happiness, but I do hope that this doesn't take the edge off of his acerbic humour; the man speaks a lot of truth, and he's very funny for it.

I certainly would.
