Yes, it probably peaked in popularity a while back, but I still think it's influential to a lot of artists who wouldn't necessarily be classified as IDM.

Idm now is much better than in 1992-2001 imho. Technology was always a big part of idm so it's getting better together with new technologies and it's getting better because it's getting better. Autechre is realeasing their best releases now imho, also now we have flying lotus, chris clark, tim hecker and many many others. So no 1995-2001 wasn't prime years in my opinioinion.
