Anyone else out there do interactive art?

I have been really into interactive projector art lately. I like the idea of being able to use things in the real world to affect entirely digital creations.

I cooked this up today, and I'm pretty proud of it. In the video you will find 4 groups of digital moths that are attracted to different real world flames.

It works with lit cigarettes as well.

I'm currently writing a piece of interactive fiction (release date : 2017). I haven't written anything that would get displayed in the game yet : instead i'm re-writting badly written low-level libraries.

You might like playing this : you're a a young female student left on the side of an interstate highway with a broken car, your purse, your clothes and... your nudity. Let's hitch-hike (but let's not get raped)!

This is quite remarkable. Now I need a droid phone...

Actually looking at the code, I don't think I used a single jitter object. Just the MAX lcd object and the boids external to animate the moths. Instead of click on the pwindow/lcd object, I used a WiiMote's IR camera in to tell the moths where to go. Up to 4 points right now, I think the sky is the limit. It renders @ 200fps on my standard macbook.

(jit.pwindow is a jitter object)
