right now here are my stats (what.cd:)

Up: 19.12 GB

Down: 6.66 GB

Ratio: 2.87

Required: 0.00

i have only been a member since a few months ago

i just let my what.cd ratio slip to .87. mostly because my music hd crasssshed and i only had some stuff backed up so any time i want to listen to something and i can't find it elsewhere i snag it without thinking. oh well!

Im going to re-take the interview in a few days. He said I didn't know enough about lossless codecs

I have been kicked out of what.cd because i had downloaded around 30gb and uploaded 3gb. I just couldn't config my utorrent to share the damn stuff. I can get an invite anytime tho. Other than that i just use piratebay and always upload more than what i download.

i uploaded 20th century masterpieces, a 2.67 GB classical comp.

also, 64 greensleeves rhythm albums for a grand total of 5.63 GB

you must have got in on it early to have so much uploaded, or you are a savvy user... is that mostly flac?

Joined 2 years ago but wasn't very active in my first year or so. But now I've got my home system seeding over 1.300 (mostly FLAC) torrents 24/7. It would be a lot more if my 120KB/s upload rate wasn't getting throttled as much.

I can advice you to not try and get a high ratio early on. Buffer is nice, but spending it is an investment. To upload more you need to have more torrents or a faster connection. The more you've downloaded and uploaded the more stable your ratio will become.

for me it's near impossible to get any uploads on stuff that is already seeded well, and even if i get something early on it's really rare i can get it to upload so i hit 1.0 ratio. i used to have a good buffer on oink and then it went belly up and then people started to use seedboxes and all the normal users were left standing in the dust.

1.27, plenty healthy.

Can you not just seed the really popular stuff and get your ratios up that way?
