Guest Conor74
...anyone else into them? Actually saying 'into them' implies that I'm good, or that I might actually do a whole triathlon. Just do the run as part of a tri relay team, and we are one of the more laid back teams, it's more a case of 3 middle aged men trying to keep fit. In fact these things seem to be packed with middle aged men trying to get fit. Only took it up just before last summer - after years of wondering why anyone would want to do it - have done a good few now. Not a huge fan of running, the training is a chore, but the events themselves are pretty good and well organised. Lots of them on in the south west of Ireland. They seem to be getting more and more popular, as do adventure races, mountain running etc. Anyone else do this stuff? goDel
arts and sports do not mingle very well. it's probably the endorphin-rush you get after exercises which kills creativity. personally, i used to sport frequently in my college days. now, in my working life i'm happy with a once a week schedule. which is not nearly as much as i want to. ...god, i miss those endorphin rushes. Guest ruiagnelo
I do run almost every week, but nothing too serious. Regular sport shedulle is incompatible with my architectural studies. jhonny
Play a lot of football, and run every other day... gets quite addictive after a while. Got a 10k and half marathon lined up but haven't yet been successful in the London Marathon ballot. Thats a lie. Exercise gets the creative juices flowing. And by that I just mean better blood circulation to the brain and what not. I'd love to do a triathlon but I'm afraid my swimming will let me down. I can run 6km in under 25 minutes and Im fairly fit. Biking isnt a problem. But whenever I go swimming I'm always fucked after a few length. I used to be great at the 100m sprint. Haven't done it in a while though. Make sure your diet and sleep are in order, and you probably won't be.
