chassis
This one is a serious work in progress. I didnt realise how long the recording was when I made it. It starts off a little heavy but it actually progresses into quite a nice track. I'll be changing the arrangement whenever I get the will power. Feedback, as always, is much appreciated. http://soundcloud.com/anflec/the-scientist Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide chassis's signature Hide all signatures Reveal hidden contents Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/57306-anflec-the-scientist/ Share on other sites
Guest tht tne
just upon a skim i really like the way it starts out, the arpeggio, and the overall sense of adventure, but about halfway it got a bit too near dubstep for me Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/57306-anflec-the-scientist/#findComment-1354900 Share on other sites

I thought people would be put off by the start but I think things to start off with some crazy atmospheric shit. Mmmmmh, Dubstep. Now that you said it I can actually see that. That wasn't on purpose, I was going for a more of an Autechre sound, with loud cracking drums and then a melody on the top. Thanks for the listen though mate, its far from finished anyway. P.S. For anyone whos interested in this sort of thing. The sound of clap at the start is a job application ran through audacity and the beeping kinda shit is done the same. Does that mean I have to credit Luke Vibert? Guest bigs
the beat is way too flat and unchanging in the first half. it's really close in the mix and kind of stands out like a sore thumb and it drags on a bit long (i mean the bass drum plus the click click). the ambiance is nice all the way through. Yeah it doesnt fit right on the mix. As for it dragging on, I will be changing the arrangment up a bit. Shortening parts and elongating others. Thanks for the input.
