Alberto Balsam on Steel Drums

They're missing the monster/radiator growl noise.... but otherwise pretty awesome. I've always liked steel drums, but I'd probably hate to play them... they'd sound irritating on their own.

It's pretty great. Could be perfected by scooting one of those drums a short distance across that nice hardwood, periodically.

It is actually surprisingly good - the steel drum suits that kind of muted sound really well.

Heh, I've been on an ungawdly Fripp/Eno (together, not separately) kick lately after not listening to any of their collaborations for years. Evening Star remains pretty much perfect.

pleasant enough but they don't earn cool points for that, too easy. ventolin would be a better choice.

This kind of stuff makes me sad that my band directors in high school were so shitty....

I was in the drum line and did percussion ensemble stuff like this, but we almost never got to pick what we played (we might have been given a choice from 2 or 3 pre-selected works)

We did a fucking Saturday Night Fever show once... Do you have any idea how boring that is for a marching band drum-line?
