the thing is, his whole "give away the album for free with a newspaper" thing is just a sales ploy on his part. he did the same thing with his last album - since it counts as sales, he inevitably SHOOTS up the charts, even if people just throw the cd in the trash right away. it's like bill o'reilly filling up warehouses with his latest book so it stays on the NYT best seller list for a while.

in short, prince is just pissed because he can't play the system in the same ways he's used to.
