There's some public meeting going on in Rothbury right now regarding him, they're pretty much just having a laugh about it.

For those not in the know, he got released from prison, found out his girlfriend was seeing a cop then killed him, and shot another guy in patrol at 3am in the morning.

They probably won't find him

He's probably found Maddie.

I wouldn't put that past him

Everybody in Birtley is like this. It's not actually the poorest or scummiest part of Gateshead, although it is pretty awful, which just makes it worse cos the nutjobs can afford steroids. At one point Northumbria police force set up a unit composed of ex anti-terrorist police and martial artists whose job was basically to fight these idiots, like some really shit geordie 90s Dolph Lungdren film.

Speaking as someone who has an ex from Birtley, I can vouch for this *shudders*. The whole area of Gateshead/ north Durham is full of similar mentalists.

When I was about 15 I somehow ended up at a house party in Birtley. The guy whose house it was was ex-Sicilian mafiosi who was in hiding from the Cosa Nostra. I suppose Birtley is as good as anywhere for that type of thing. Interesting guy, was missing half his fingers. The night took a turn for the weirder when his wifey brought out her dildo collection. I made my excuses...

Two of the policemen from this chavhunter squad set up a corporate security consultancy type thing, which is how I came across them. One of them carried action shot polaroids around in his jacket pocket.

Possibly gypsie, although probably just thick mother. There's a fair bit of gypsie blood in the NE, hence the etymology of chav.

There is a higher class of nutjob in the North. I spent last weekend watching football in the Castlefield fan zone and all the Salford boys turned up and started kicking off beside the inflatables. You just dont get that level of random violence in London.

There was alot of shit going down after the goalless draw with Algeria, but the police were "making a few changes to make sure it wouldn't happen again"

I spent 2 days just sitting in the sand pit, drinking cider and watching the games. They kicked off Friday, but the best was Saturday night, one of the nutjobs was playing football like he was Stuart Pearce with 8 year olds, tackling fuck out of them and barging them, he owned that pitch . Then some bloke pointed out that he was being a bit of a dick, then the dick and his 10 mates all waded in swinging, knocking into 3 generations of Spaniards. I sat in my deck chair and let the lesbian bouncer sort it out =)
