ID3 TAGS

hello all... i wanna put an ID3 tag on my tunes...

whats the best id3 tag program out there???!?!?!

WAV format isn't meant to carry that kind of tag information. I think technically it can, but it messes with the file. I don't really understand it, but you can check google for some sources on it.

What's wrong with using your regular mp3 playing software?

I think technically it can't - WAV files with tagging information are no longer WAV compliant files.....

OP - If you're desperate to tag a lossless files then encode it as a FLAC, then you can tag it ....

And as Azatoth says, almost all media players have tagging support built in so there's no need to download another utility....

i basically wanna tag the WAvs so when people insert the cd onto their comps the names of the songs are there...

how can i do that?

That is cd text I think. I did it once in audition I can't remember how now because i'm useless.

I would imagine any CD burning software worth a damn would have a CD-text option. Never used it myself, so can't be sure.

You do that with your cd burning software rather than directly on the wavs. On Nero when you've chosen to make a cd audio and dragged across the wavs you right click on each one and click properties.

Cd text is a bit of an old fad now anyways, peoples stopped using it by about the middle of the last decade....
