Is there any proof of this? Might explain Gutierrez, but there problem is you could make up any story about Maradona and it immediatly becomes plausable.

Why this? Messi is, on any given day, the best player in the world, and he seems to have his head screwed on pretty straight. We'll see how he responds this season with Barcelona after last season's disappointment of not making the CL final and Argentina's undeniably piss-poor performance.
