does anyone know of a way to capture soundcloud songs?

so i want to get some music of some soundcloud account but theres like loads of songs for one thing, another thing, is that the user has disabled the "download song" function, rendering me unable to get the music easily. now the only way i can think of getting it is just straight up recording it, but cmon is that seriously what im going to have to do, because im hardly prepared for such an endeavor. can someone fix up a max patch and run it through ableton then rewire to firefox with a mod'd youtube downloader add on with a usb 2.0 connector to flux capacitor?

i had to figure out how to do this when i wanted to use that new ae track in a mix b4 the digi d/l's were released. I ended up just using the "download helper" plugin on my firefox.

can't you just record a stereo mix? so you'll have a recording of whatever you're listening to (in real time obv)?

sucks if you're trying to get hold of a long mix or whatever ,but otherwise it's a pretty good solution

Longer mixes usually have download function, if someone disabled it, is a total cunt.

Yep, Download Helper for Firefox does this quite well.

there is always the option of recording directly off your soundcard, just got to make sure u turn off msn and other shit that may make noises

you can get a link from player to 128kbps preview in Firebug

if you're on a PC then simply set your sound settings to "record what you hear", then press play on Soundcloud and use Soundforge/Audacity etc to record it as a wav.
