Law & Order

Usually I don't like it when people pick a well known show and go "hey, this is actually pretty good! no one has ever noticed this but me!" but I've realised that I've slowly become really fond of a couple of the Law & Orders. I only bring this up because I seldom see anybody talk about it. Where CSI and NCIS are too theatrical and and ridiculous, L&O generally stays down to earth (even if it is confined to the formula of a weekly television program). Maybe the reason I enjoy it is because its realism is more similar to that of a British crime drama rather than an American one. Maybe I should watch a British crime drama. My favourite is SVU btw.

Also I stumbled upon this gem on the wiki for Ice-T's character:

They've given that its own paragraph, as though there's something profound about that. I find this amusing.

at the end I always say "dick wolf" when his name comes up

and then my wife always says "wolfing down dicks"

i love law & order.

or i should say, i loved law & order.

they got too bombastic in recent years. old law & order, old SVU, and d'onofrio CI are rad.

but when vanilla tries a bit too hard to rip from the headlines and go epic, or when SVU somehow goes from rape case to terrorism or headline-rippy-non-rape case, or when CI goes without d'onofrio, i gotta roll my eyes really hard.

my ex and i would a capella the vanilla theme song all the time, it was so cute.

i do the same thing, even on other shows that do a one liner and fade to black

Its sad to see D'onofrio go, his character was great and will not. I didn't like his nemesis though, especially her British accent.

But at least we still have Stabler and Benson, those two are great.
