intervention on dog's behavior

Recommended Posts

Guest ruiagnelo

so my neighbours have these three ugly, non-trained, annoying dogs who receive no attention from them and only luckily have enough food to survive. as a result they spend all day locked in chains which are no longer than 1.5 meters, constantly barking and moving around strange metalic objects that produce the most annoying noise i ever dreamed of.

i have been observing them and i am seriously thinking of a strategy to change their behavior - at a distance - because i live on the other side of the wall, as they don't have any train at all and barely receive human contact, which makes them i guess, susceptible to a change.

i feel like simply killing them, but that's not part of my principles. it's not the way it is supposed to be solved. and talking to the neighbours won't do anything. they are a bunch of idiots lacking any sense of human respect and they still don't understand they are living in a city, where you are totally free inside your property, but need to be aware that others around actually exist. i can't even find the appropriate terms to communicate with them in a civilized way.

shit, this is such a ridiculous question, but i am really tired of getting home to have a quiet moment and these creatures are constantly making absolute unbearable noise. i just want to change this. ideas please and urgently.

Wouldn't it be more reasonable to at least attempt diplomacy first?

Just be straight with them, but be respectful and dignified in your reproach, yeah?

All neighbors I've ever dealt with would appreciate and take into consideration that sort of thing a lot more than getting police involved/taking matters into your own hands.

this has reached a police level for sure.

but these people won't just accept the fact that they can be notified the police because of their dogs. and they don't even have a decent reason to have dogs. they would feel offended and might do something to strike back.

you see, it's because of their lack of any sense of balance and respect that i am afraid of what might come. i am afraid that calling the police to this might bring me more trouble than the noise itself.

also the other neighbours don't seem to care either, which results in zero support around here.

then talk to them. do not threaten police intervention. if they act like assholes, report them to the police. or you could just anonymously report them to the police and they wouldn't know you did, hence no trouble.

You're in Portugal? Carve them up and serve them in a big family paella get together.

The neighbours not the dogs.

paella -> spanish :facepalm:

but there are plenty of portuguese recipes that could turn them in a good cook :spiteful:

you cannot train a dog without lots and lots of repetition and patience. especially ones as unruly as the ones you're describing. especially especially if the dogs don't see you as their leader, which they won't.

the best option, if you were in america, is to talk to the neighbors but if they absolutely don't care or they are still abusing/neglecting the dogs call animal control. like i said though that's america, dunno what you got set up over there as far as animal control/spca

i feel your pain. after years of putting up with our neighbors' abuse, and after plenty of attempted diplomacy on our part, we finally called the cops on them. they retaliated by poisoning our dog.

my dad once told me a story about a dog he and my grandparents had when he was a kid. their neighbours also poisoned the dog for a stupid reason. it's sad that the poor animals have to pay for human unconsciousness.

not really. we cook paella too, but under the name "arroz à valenciana".

arroz = rice and valenciana = relative to the spanish region of Valencia.

but we don't usually eat. spanish eat it a lot. if you go to spain, you see that every restaurant menu has plenty of different paellas and they are all so tasty.

Oh ok I see, fair enough, I was just going on the basis of when I visited a friend in Portugal, he and his family and friends were mad on paella and cooked it 3 times in a week.

lol they are paella aficionados then.

which doesn't mean that the remaining population follows the same pattern.

where were you in Portugal?

Nuke them from orbit - it's the only way to be sure.

This has been another completely unhelpful post from WATMM's most loathed douchebag.

have you been here -> sitio2300.jpg

there's a nice view of the surroundings.

To be honest, I was in my full on alcoholic stage and I remember very little of where I went, but I definetly visited some beautiful coastal beaches. I've visited Prague/Venice/Aachen and don't remember a fucking thing lol.
