Mobile skin seems to not work anymore

yeah. The only option to view this board on my iphone is "English".

I also tried the invasion app. No dice.

Down the bottom you click some link "this theme is automatically picked for your browser. click here to manually change theme" or something.

However, when I first started using this site regularily (a week or so ago:p) there was some iPhone skin (that can't be picked on the drop down) and i don't know how to get it back... It was good.

yeah, previous app was better.

Is there a way to go back to it?

I'm sure it's still available, as I used it just a few days ago, but then I accidentally hit clear cookies and can't get it back....

automatic mobile skin is broken. only works manually now. so every time you are back on your desktop you have to switch back to desktop skin and the other way round

It used to auto format the page to mobil but now it won't and there isn't any way to do it manually.

There used to be a link on the bottom where you could change the skin but literally all it says is "English" with no alternative options.

It won't work with the ip board app either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it to no avail.

It is basically the standard Safari page on my iPhone and I have to zoom in super far to see anything.

Life is hard.

Which skin did you normally use on your iPhone?

I used (what I think) was the iPod site, but as I say I can't et back to it. At the moment I'm using the IP.Board Mobile skin....

yeah same here, and the IPBoard app wont load watmm anymore either

I didn't like the app anyway. It was the same as the IP.Board Mobile option from the dropdown menu.

Maybe something to do with the fact that watmm moved to a new server recently (according to the error on the downloads page)....how long ago was the shift?

why dont you just use safari on the iphone and load it up that way?

Now it doesn't and there is no option to select it.

Maybe it has something to do with the recent OS 4 update?

I now use the ipb app and it works when I don't use mobile safari

OK, I'll look into it and test it on my son's iTouch. Probably just need to set the User Agent mapping. I know for a fact the WATMM Mobile Skin has not been updated (btw, the recent problems with the mobile skins is due to board upgrades, nothing to do with moving servers, which we haven't done since January 2009).

maybe with the update to iOS4.0 the way mobile safari identifies itself on pages to make they show a mobile skin changed. that would explain why the app is still working as it still sends the right id (the one that worked before). just saying in case your ipod still has iOS3 and does not show the same issues

I just updated my son's to iOS4... User Agents usually don't change (except version number).

Yes this is the problem I am having although my phone doesn't switch to automatic mobile skin and switching back and forth when i go between phone and computer is a pain. Couldn't there just be an m.forum.watmm.com or something similar?

watmm looks pretty good w/ tapatalk on my droid.

fuck it, using the mobile skin to browse on my comp, and it's actually more enjoyable and faster.

I'll look into it - in other news, IBP has updated their mobile app for iPhone/iPad...

I'm on SE using opera mini so no dice on the app front. Mobile skin works really well on my phone though.

I deleted the app cuz my phone asked for an upgrade... that, and i can only take so much watmm. home comp more than suffices!
