I've read the book and it was great fun, but I can't speak french - so, if you remember there is a page-long chapter that is narrated by some french dude, Bertnard I think. I'd LOVE to know what excatly is he talking about, so could you help me with this?

No, I think that Ellis (writer) simply isn't fluent in french. But thanks anyway :)
