just a quick note, even though i did most of it the song is for his lady, so a lot of the poor production choices arent mine (vocal levels, chorus on the vocals etc)

i hope you got paid for that nigel cuz that singer is shit and the guitars aint all that . . meh i just skipped through it cuz it sucked

+ the glitchy guitar + beat is quite cool, maybe if you cut it up to emphasise teh lo-fi thing it would work in it's favour.

Yeah, the vocals sounded kind of weird. Just awkward. It builds well, though. Parts of the beat I liked, but some parts I think you could have done more with.

yeah i'd say i'd like the vocals better if they were dry and more subdued. then your effects on the harmonies & extra parts would come out even better. i like the more Sting-y exotic Koran recital-type vox at the end though. i think you could have your pads be even more sweeping there (i.e. ~3:00 region) for a nice climax to teh song.

also, it sounds like there's some nice melodic parts going on there, but they get a little buried in teh mix, esp bc they are center. if you could pan 'em a bit i bet they'd come out real nicely. i think you could even pan the guitar too, maybe hard-pan it; that way the panning weirdness (or stereo separation plugin or hwatever) would go better with the fact that it's slightly out of tune. :-/

one of my favorite parts is the drumbeat; at first i thought that hi-hat pattern was gonna be really stilted and Casio preset-sounding, but with the nice filigrees you add with the other drum hits as it develops, it has a really nice, rolling quality to it. i'd say for your part, nice work d00d
