That's an amazing track - personally it sounds more like Amber-era Autechre, but it does have some Aphex trademark sounds in there.

Yeah, the filtered percussion is very RDJ-like.

Trust me, there's loads of unreleased Aphex (and other artists too, I'd reckon) that are sitting on shelves and in drawers going on decades now, given to mates or on a whim, before the days where if something like that happened after the advent of the internet, it'd spread like wildfire. These days artists are too careful with their tracks to just give anyone unreleased material since it inevitably ends up online, and the artist has little chance of making profit from their work.

you really think its Ae ? I think this track was composed in the same time as selected ambient works, it has similarities with heliospan or others from that album

CiM? Really? I have a lot of CiM's stuff, and honestly I can't see the similarity. If you can find the track, I'd love to know what it really is.

the sounds and the progression, those are like signatures...and i just dont hear the afx-ness in it, especially the percs.

not sure about CiM, just throwing names out that share a similarity in the hopes it jogs my mems.

You are aware that most of those artists didn't start releasing music for 3+ years after this was filmed...

I do like this track, has some hauntingly familiar feel in one way or another

if it is a fake made by some guy on the internet he had to have mashed bits of real Autechre/afx tracks together, it's a little more than just overlay a fruityloops song with some record hiss

something about the 'doo doo doo, doo' sounds at the beginning sound like they're a looped sound file that wasn't looped seamlessly. like layer that with some slowed up/sped down afx/autechre bits

some of these fakes are really interesting in themselves the FAKENESS of it, like an unauthentic bootleg afx sound. Those Analord fakes too. Makes me feel like something is a little off/too familiar and I feel uneasy - which if it's an emotional response to an slowed down aphex melody I've heard before and not the actual 'track' like whoa weird man

I dunno if steinvord is watmm's inside joke but there's definitely loops of squarepusher stuff in there. or maybe not but it's so similar it would be easier to just sample squarepusher
