Really great find, and eye opening. Everyone should watch the two movies, Atomic Cafe and Radio Bikini.

atomic cafe is hilarious in places - the semi-satirical product placement and stuff...

not cool, but very interesting. that is, of great interest, and these numbers need to be known by everybody, as well as the reasons/intentions behind such unrelenting use of such an immensely destructive force by our world government(s). think of the effects on the earths magnetic fields and the effects that great imbalance creates in the minds, bodies, and consciousness of every being in existence on this planet. seriously fucked up shit.

no, cool. nuclear weapons are fascinating. and cool. their effects, maybe not, but nukes have fascinated our fleshy bags of mostly water for as long as they've existed because - well, they're fuckin badass pieces of technology, and a testament to how far we've come as a species.

well, i did say i thought it was interesting. and i agree that they do indeed serve as a testament to how far we've come as a species, but it's what we do once we've gone that far that constitutes it's worth as testament to how far we CAN go as a species, which is most important of all.

:wtf:

i had no idea. this has been an eye opening thread.

GHOST: have you killed Claudius yet

Also props for posting Threads, more people need to see that film.... its very harsh...

i miss the cold war

edit: is Israel technically the only country known to have nukes but hasn't admitted to having them yet? I've heard rumors South Africa has them.

LOL @ USA being the one that has bombed itself the most. It's quite depressing to see how the arms race went on. USA detonates 2 bombs, soon after USSR detonates 4 bombs and so on and the periods where nukes seem to go off everywhere for a time.

That's the cold war mentality for ya, interesting to think how most of the damage done by either side was self-inflicted by all the tests.

The Cold War era was insane.

I love the propaganda films, I have gigs and gigs of them. Dr. Strangelove and even, Fail Safe are both fucking amazing too imo.
