Why is the German government responsible for Chernobyl all of a sudden?

uhhh...because they were...

They're not (unless that's what the article is implying) - Some of the Boars from Chernobyl roamed into the German territory and now (rather stupidly, I might add) the German government feels compelled to compensate hunters for boars they shoot that are radioactive.

VBS.TV did a thing on this a few years back. They went to Chernobyl and went to hunt some of these radioactive boars. Check it...
