Guest uiert
Hey; I quick question : I bought a Nord Rack 2 the other day and have had a great time with it so far. Yet : I use a Roland 505 to sequence the Nord, yet of the 4 channels/slots (A,B,C & D ) I can only get the Nord to receive midi channel 1&2. What I want to do is have the 505 control all 4 channels/slots on the Nord simultaneously, using midi channel 1-4 ( or which ever ) to control different programs in each slot ( say, to use it as a drum machine or 4 voice synth ) I have tried all the midi transmit channels on the 505 and only signals from 1 & 2 seem to trigger the Nord. The Nord "Trigger" light indicates that it is being triggered by 4 midi channels ( ie. Kick drum, Bass drum, snare drum and rim shot ) correctly, yet channels C&D ( midi rcv channel 3&4 ) do not respond. I´m new to this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/58466-nord-lead-2-question/ Share on other sites
Brandi_B
Hold shift and then midi ch, then select the slot, and use the arrows to change the midi channels per part. Make sure all 4 parts (slots) are selected (lit up) and are on their appropirate midi channel. Certainly make sure none of the channels are on the "off" selection. Also, I don't say this to be a jerk, it's an actual nice suggestion, but read the manual and keep a copy handy. The nord lead series have the best manuals I've ever experienced in a virtual analog synth. http://www.vintagesynth.com/manuals/NordLeadV2_XManual.pdf Edited August 3, 2010 by Brandi_B Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/58466-nord-lead-2-question/#findComment-1386077 Share on other sites

Guest uiert
thanks for the reply. I already consulted the manual - which I agree, is good ). And that wasn´t it. turned out that the fault was not having selected sending outs C&D to the same ports as A&B Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/58466-nord-lead-2-question/#findComment-1386747 Share on other sites
