Fluke?

Right, so my friend wanted to try making his own music, so I gave him some software to make it. I was suprised at how good it was (by good, I mean good for a first attempt). He didn't use preset melodies or anything, and the arrangement isn't that great, but I am still impressed.

It's not the sort of music I like, but I wondered what you guys think of it. He made it using the demo of FLstudio....

He doesn't actually know anything about music, but my friend who does and has been using FLstudio for a year can't make dance music of similar quality (probably cause he hates dance).

Sounds like soft synth presets, 909 samples, and a side chain compression tutorial.

With that said, I think everyone's first song sucks. Tell him to keep at it.

The 1st track I ever made was my best one. Its been going downhill since then.

This is pretty good. You should tell him to redo it 12 months later and see what he can do with it.

I gave up making music a while ago (I mostly made rubbishy rock songs).
