Not sure it is hard luck. Other managers who are there or thereabouts in recent years, Moyes and Hodgson come to mind, did just as good while spending a lot less.

 

I think he's a spoofer. He has one trick, stick a donkey up front and support him with fast wingers, and it is worth a few points. But not sure he has what it takes to bring any club beyond that.

O'Neill did some good things for Aston Villa. Not great, because he still could've pushed harder for a Champions League place, but I guess he was never given financial backing and was fed up of having his best players being allowed to walk out.

 

That's the end of Villa then. Milner to City. Young to Spurs. Maybe Arsenal can nick Delfouneso or Delph on the cheap. That'd be nice.
