in sampler properties in the menu with the lfo on the bottom left and filter on the bottom right...

is there a way to get the lfo to modulate that filter? all i get is amplitude modulation when i just want filter modulation. i want to set the lfo and leave it alone without having to use the "automation" feature.

Change from the VOL tab to the CUT tab, and if you want a free running LFO instead of an LFO triggered by playing the sample, enable "Global"

There's a couple of ways, I think the designers intend for users to use the "automation clips" by right clicking any setting and "add automation clip". These clips have their own LFO settings you can use, but they are quite different than what people are used to when they think of "LFO's".

Another way is adding the Fruity Formula Controller(FFC) which in effect is an LFO controlled by math formulas, set the formula speed/range to your liking and right click the setting you want to control then select "Link to controller" and select the "FFC". You can also use the peak controller for this.

the automation has to be programmed manually doesnt it... i dont like it. trying to switch effects on and off is way too awkward with it and it fucks up the loops/sequencer too easily

ill try ffc later... it's in the instrument list isnt it?

ya'll probably knbow this, but it's better to use a wav file for an oscillator rather than a vst synth... sounds better and saves on cpu :D anyone else do it this way? i've been trying to use only one cycle for the .wav and have it loop... but the loop setting is really confusing and it takes loads of messing about to get it to work.. anyone know the exact method?

Well, I use sampled sounds and vsti for different things. But if you want to use a sampled loop then you have two options. Either open the wav in edison and add loop start/loop end points. Or do it the fast way, go to the precomputed effects pane and twist the CRF knob until you are satisfied with the result.

Here's a picture of it:

you could always right click the cutoff and select "edit events, it will take you to an edit page for that specific pattern, crop the portion of the loop u wanna modulate and pres alt o, this will bring up a lfo device, but i suggest using the automation clips for that mess, also turning down the volume in the automation clip helps feel out how intense you want your lfo to be
