The Beauty of Being Numb

The Beauty of Being Numb never seems to get a mention here, probably because only the second half is RDJ, but it is essentially godlike.

It seems to incorporate nearly everything of the ICBYD era....analogue, messy machinery sounds, a kind of dreamy atmosphere and those perfect melodies while generally reatining that amazing earthy feel.

At The Heart Of It All was the first Aphex Twin related thing I ever heard and is still one of my favourite tracks of his. Real deep sound of melancholy running all the way though it, a beautiful track...

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

i'm actually shocked! (that it took so long for an aphex fan to hear 2 of his best songs)
