adebisi shank - this is the second album of a band called adebisi shank

music critics are foaming at the mouth over here at this recent release by an irish band.

it's sort in the vein of fuck buttons most of all, i think, but faster and punkier and with the odd chiptune sorta thing and a weird ac/dc vibe in places.

no idea, but the more i listen to this the more i think mogwai meet dragonforce.

and there's one track ('logdrum') that i'd be contacting my lawyers about *now* if i was battles lol.

it's like making a smoothie from papaya, passion fruit, pineapple, broccoli, cane sugar, and a tiny amount of human faeces. interesting, all the ingredients are pretty cool, but too much of not always necessarily the right thing going on. don't believe the hype

great band, strange to see them posted 'round these parts.

Yep the first album is phenomenal. Not really got into the new one properly, but there are a couple of killer tracks.

yeah an irish friend of mine basically insisted i listen to this (and i do mean insisted, lol) but i'm honestly really digging it. but then, i really do like a lot of mathy kind of rock like this. its like don cab with urgency. i've heard their live shows are a mindfuck.
