Charlie Rose asks him this near the end of the interview. And the answer is obviously no. As far as I know, dying doesn't make you suddenly ignorant.

Slowly going through his bibliography. I've become quite enamored with his writing over the last few years. Letters to a Young Contrarian is quite excellent. Looking forward to Hitch-22 even if it looks like its publication was a little too well timed.

I'd be more interested to hear if in his view, "intervention" in Iraq and Afghanistan was still the correct course of action.

I agree with his reasoning in these cases but not with his conclusions.

I can respect neither his reasoning nor his conclusions in that regard. He rattles off many of the same points when discussing North Korea, and relies on hyperbole and falsehoods to support his arguments. Specious reasoning indeed.
