I just found a diamond

I think it's been there for years. I always thought it was a shard of broken glass from working at a drag-cabaret bar in the East Village. Tonight I took out my old shoes to compare them with the new shoes I bought for my wedding and look a closer look. Following closer inspection, after removing it with my leatherman, it is obviously either a small diamond or zirconia. It is definitely not rhinestone, glass or plastic. I've been walking on it for almost 10 years and there isn't a scratch on it. Crazy!

Here is a pic I just took...

It is pretty small. I had to use the macro zoom on my old Canon G5 to get a half way decent pic (I'm in dire need of a better camera) . To give you an idea of the scale, it would probably fit inside the "0" printed on the 0 key of my keyboard.

I bet it fell out of a watch or a necklace or something. Maybe a grill or a gold tooth? That would be awesome.
