Goddamn... Wigan got RAPED

Watched this match with my son, and we were astonished at the poor performance by Wigan...

Aston Villa were even worse yesterday. Incapable of even clearing the ball.

Wigan were actually progressing for the first 20 mins, but just stopped working together at the back.

At least Wigan lost 6-0 to the defending league champions. Villa lost 6-0 to Newcastle. LOL.

there have been four 6-0 results already in the premiership. Defense a thing of the past this season?

Yeah, I don't even bother with Aston Villa matches... every time I've watched them I

manure vs fulham was probably the best PL match ive seen this year..all the 6-0's arnt entertaining its just boring( drogba drogba drogba ZZzz). at the cottage yesterday afternoon was a fulham side not wanting to lose, which made a great game.

beside who would of knew in america about a humble win for Rotherham (ROTHERHAM 6 CHELTENHAM 4) or crewe alexandra's smashing of barnet (CREWE 7 BARNET 0)

there is other league in england apart from the Premier League© which have great scorelines week in week out.

unfortunately, those games barely get televised, and as we aren't all fortunate enough to live in the UK....

My dad will be happy though, Boro beat Sheffield (even though the football was shockingly bad)

And I guess the ManU game was good for neutrals, but fuck me sideways that was some terrible play on our part in the second half. Lucky to escape with the draw i think.

this coming Saturday night goto my P2P and watch the football league show.. its on at like 11.30 GMT (after match of the day) ill be interested to know what people who arnt familiar about football league think about it..

I'll download and watch it :) I usually just watch MOTD (and sometimes MOTD 2 for the lulz)

Stopping in on a Saturday night is now a lot more bearable thanks to The Football League Show. Thank fuck it's all on the beeb at the minute.

Yeah, Saturday nights football viewing is great. In fact, the whole afternoon is wrapped up if you've got nothing better to do than watch the red-button as well.

Kind of makes me wish I worked in a pub again. I used to get paid to talk/watch football every Saturday afternoon.

I used to pay only vague attention to the football league until The Football League show started. I probably enjoy it more overall than MOTD as by the time it's halfway through the programme the highlights are usually turgid agricultural affairs. There's a bit more variey in the lower leagues and I quite like seeing the more characterful grounds. It's just a pity I'm usually falling asleep sometime between the end of League 1 and the start of League 2.

I wish there was a similar programme for the Scottish leagues (including the Juniors!!!) but there isn't really enough folk interested... cue a rant about how much I loathe the old firm.
