I'm listening to this now, first time hearing any of this guy's stuff. I like, reminds me of some tracks from Bibio's Ambivalence Avenue. Is Benoit's other stuff in a similar style?

yeah, all of his albums are pretty much similar in style. sometimes he gets more crazy with them ambient tracks and sometimes it's more straight up folkish-with vocals.
