Arc2
In a metropolitan world, synthesizers drum machines and electronic gear changes hands faster than golden eggs on the black market. Much of the gear can't take this wear and tear and sometimes negligence. In this thread: talk about your gear that didn't survive your ownership. I will start with the tombstone engraving for my Casio. CASIO CZ-100 You were bought from a cute girl who wanted a piano more. Even though one key did not work and you were hard to program, your waveforms will live on in my memory. I'm sorry for leaving your batteries in for so long. Now you! Berk
The bassdrum was 100% fine, but I just didn't like the rest of the sounds. But that's probably just me. edit: I started to get discontent though, after hearing TR-808s and 606s the whole time in tracks, so I sold it and got myself a 606 basically. The Mfb 522 is great though, but I needed the nice real hats and snares I guess. soundwave
I kinda miss my MkI SPS-1 especially since new features have been added since I sold it. I also miss my Pro1 but I can see it round my mates house whenever I want. Bubba69
my old laptop. Made tons of badass music on it and now the cpu fan is dead, so i cant make music on it anymore cause it overheats and slows down and then eventually just shuts off and corrupts my HD and shit. SCONES TO DIE FOR
My E-mu ESI-32 sampler. At the time it was so great. 32 megs of memory, 32 voices. 6 audio outs in some oddball way with Y-cables and panning things hard right and left. Effects that were hell to program. Menu diving. Rigging it up to my Dell PC to chickensystems software by SCSI to transfer files. Some rigged up SCSI zip disk drive and old apple SCSI CD drive for sample CDs that it wouldn't read after a while. One day the display didn't work, so I said fuck it. Still sitting in my garage somewhere. Guest hahathhat
when i was a wee lad i had a fischer-price keyboard. i took it apart to see what went on in there and snapped off a piece of board. it never worked again edit: and i've had bad luck with computers over the last few months. heat death i think. hopefully sorted now Edited August 29, 2010 by hahathhat Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/59090-synthesizer-graveyard/#findComment-1404275 Share on other sites
