I just reconnected with Oversteps.

So I hadn't listened to Oversteps in a while, and I popped it in today... I skipped straight to Treale, and BAM! The beat, the melody, it all feels so badass to me.... then O=0 came on. That song makes me feel about 10,000 things at once. Happiness, sadness, wonder, contentment-- so many things, it just amazes me.

Same here, been in Oversteps mode big time lately.

It's ben fitting well on my bike journeys through a landscape that is slowly letting go of summer and giving in to a sinister yet fresh and cool autumn breeze.

Especially enjoying ilanders, st epreo and yuop

Listening to it as one of these may be what renews some of my interest in it.

It's all about Treale for me every time I listen to Oversteps, which I find myself doing a little more of lately. It's definitely a winter album though. Something about all those steam release type sounds (some here have described them as spray can sounds) that take me to cold remote places, surrounded by various machines. I dunno. There was a blizzard here when it was released, which is a more likely explanation now that I think about it.

Yeah, and all the (to my ears) metallic FM-type sounds throughout the album give it a somewhat cold feel. Pt2ph8 just screams 'ice cave' to me.

What exactly are these spray can sounds? The ones like in qplay?

os Veix3 actually. The first one is at 0:09, then another 5 seconds later and so on.. At around 1:35 there's a whole rush of that steam valve sound. There's a similar sound in qplay as well, but it sounds more like a snare in that track. I love the sound because it sounds like a release..

Oh, okay... yeah, I hear it now. I'd never quite thought of it like that, totally changes the landscape it creates in my head. Makes it far more metallic, like an industrial planet in a huge blizzard.

I Like the ending of d-sho_qub when it goes all moody and creepy, it really gives me the Twin Peaks vibe
