Good effects VSTs

Recommended Posts

Guest Sprigg

I'm looking for some good effects VSTs, specifically Reverb and Delay, but anything else you guys can come up with is cool, too. Free is best.. or easily acquirable. :shuriken:

Been playing with the standard ones from FL9, and a few random free ones, but for the mos part they're shite/ crash on me.

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to perhaps make a huuuuge reverb on something, but make the sound the reverb came form really quiet, while keeping the reverb at normal volume?

use reverb as a send effect or mute the dry sound?

my favorite new EQ unit is probably the default EQ in Cockos REAPER, I've got a bunch of Waves bundles and I do like their 12 band EQ but it seems really CPU intense. Cockos REAPER lets you add as many new bands as you want and as with everything in REAPER its incredibly efficient. For all the efficiency, intuitive, limitless greatness gives me REAPER is my favorite recently downloaded software for sure. Its awesome

Try the Soundhack Delay Trio. They're free and probably one of my favorite plugins I have.

I can't get the time-lock on the pitch delay to work in Live, but it's inconsequential because I have other delays for the tempo-synced stuff. This delay really shines when used to mangle a sound into obscurity. So simple, yet so fun.

After listening to some of the way Clark manipulates his sounds I really wanted a VST oscillator like thing for all audio and It looks like Meldaproduction MMultiBandVibrato is the best answer and ended up getting their whole VST bundle with a bunch of other shit. Half the FX look very different than what I have, very customizable and useful. Can't wait to try them out and report back.

Well the Melda Productions Creative Effects really do look very nice and optimal but Reaper is being a bitch with them. Could be the project I am using is waay to congested but while I am figuring that out. I am not quite sure if I am going to get exactly the whole audio oscillation sound I am hoping for with them.

Anyone know of a VST(s) than can put really aggressive fast oscillation like stuff on anything?
