For once.. help me with this BoC mess..

i must know.. How bad are my lists for the albums A few old tunes and old tunes vol 2? i can't remember where i got them and if they actually are Boc releases?

i would want to know that, i found them on soulseek i think some time ago but i don't know if any of them are fakes or so on.

Is there any place where i can listen and compare them?

Or even better ( might not be allowed to ask this, though I'm NOT asking for any downloading locations) but do they even exist to find Online somehow?

Yea i've read that... but still i don't know if the songs are fake or not, and some albums are even mixed, misses a few songs.. and that random 35 track tape :S i mean they are official yes so they should be able to find somewhere

Yeah I was thinking that but again Fredd-e's site has all the track times and I'm guessing that's why he posted those foobar screenshots... so what exactly you after Mr.Caesar ?

Well as Joy Rex said, yea i'm after knowing that i got the Right "fake" tapes, i'm guessing i could follow the timing of the songs but the thing is at least on a few old tunes that some of the songs are mashed up into one, as you can see on my list that the song PC is mashed up in the song before, and i also miss a few tracks on old tunes vol 2.

All i really need is that if i'm able to find them online somewhere? I'm guessing they can't be bought =/ so.. that sucks

I guess I should provide a public service and have 30 second samples from specific times in each track so one could compare what they have with what I have (since I have the original cassettes). I'll see what I can do.

all the information he needs to corroborate his tracks is available on BoC Pages.

if his track times don't match up (or if as he says, some of the tracks he has are glued together) then he obviously doesn't have the same stuff and would be prudent to find other sources.

is it really that hard to understand? i know i'm not the only one that thinks this request is a bit silly...especially after it's already been pointed out to him...after the fact that he has, himself, checked out the BoC Pages and seen the "correct" timings and track numbers

i got what he meant from the beginning, but it's just that his English isn't too good!

Fatceaser, just keep the ones that are the same as the track names and track running times on those BoC pages.. (the site above)

delete the tracks that run into each other, or that are 2 or 3 tracks in 1. and download them again from somewhere.

then check they have both the same names and track running times as on the BoC site above.

simples. ;)

Which, the tracks that "everybody else has" were made from cassettes like mine...

I've seen more than one package of these tracks where the song content was the same but the track times and ID3 varied. Its not that unlikely since over the years people have probably ripped the cassettes at different bit rates or assembled them into a single collection from mixed sources like slsk.

Ooohh no, no. Don't confuse the man - the most common leaks out there are split just like that (e.g. Old Tunes Vol.1/A Few Old Tunes at the start of Light Clear, Hair you can hear Spectrum fading out, and about half way though Light, Clear, Hair track you can hear P.C. slowly fading up. And on Random 35 Tracks Tape you've got the awesome mix between the chilled Audiotrack06 and the grungy guitar sounds of Audiotrack07 ). Either that or I've had some fake releases for about 5 years that matches exactly with the timings that DavidAC/Fredd-E has listed.

It took me months of internet trawling to arrive at a complete set, and to be honest, it was a fucking pain in the arse. And you won't get flowing albums as such. There again, i don't think they're meant to be, as some maybe the hexagon sun collective, and not just BoC.

You might get lucky and get them in one fell swoop from soulseek etc but don't hold your breath.

They may also be on youtube, not to download, but at least you can check track lengths and titles.

Most tracks have been identified and discussed on bocpages, so most you can agree on or dismiss.

Well, i got all the "propper" releases now with some help! (Thanks again!) and now i got it all right, it was a pain in the ass to not know..

And Oscil, these forums were made for exactly this kind of question.
