Trentemoller - Even Though You're With Another Girl + Remixes

….Even Though You‘re With Another Girl‘ is the amazing second single to be taken from Trentemøller‘s stunning new album ‚Into The Great Wide Yonder‘.

After the huge reaction to the beautiful longplayer, which mixes classic Trentemøller production mastery with more of an analogue feel, it’s time to carry on with this intriguing set of remixes.

Side by side comes a 12‘‘ that features remixes by Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Pantha Du Prince. The Kollektive‘s half of the record slaps a heavy dose of deep,

dark funk into the mix, with this ingenious lo-slung version. Post-minimal-punk electronic drums meet warbling synths and reduced,

subliminal use of the vocals in a delicate and stylish mixture of pop-meets-deepest-electronic beats.

Dial‘s man of the hour Pantha Du Prince creates a typically high-end remix based on his trademark twinkling melodies and warmly grooving understated beats.

The Dub version twists and turns with unpredictable laid-back intensity as a rousing chorus of strings and harmonic elements fuse under dubbed out vocal elements.

Ridiculous tune, and the Kollectiv remix would be so destructive in a club. Shame I will probably never get to hear it in one.

I just bought the 7'' version (the non-club version) of this which appears to have a remix that's even better than the original, which I didn't thing was even remotely possible. I don't think my heart will survive hearing such raw emotion pressed onto vinyl ....

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

I really love that original mix and the instrumental version. Never been a fan of remixed unless its by "The Field" :)

I am a bit lazy to look into this but is the full length album "Into The Great Wide Yonder" already out ??

The original was one of my favorites of the album and the alternative version lives up to the original (which i still prefer). The remixes however....dunno. They're not bad. Not bad, in the sense that the Whopper is not bad.

The full length is definitely worth hearing. One of the best of the year.

I've just heard a new and not yet released remix of his next single "Go, Silver Surfer", and if Trentemøller accepts it then you're all in for a treat.

Just sayin'.
