"Touch and Tweak features. The former makes the eight rotary encoders "receptive to finger contact"."

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

No, but it's got "touch and tweak".

Guest Ministry of Undos

Touch & tweak will be like the Nocturn, I guess. Basically the encoders have sensors at the top acting like feedback-free buttons. The basic feature is useful on the Nocturn because the sofware will show you what the encoder is assigned to whe you tap it. I suppose one hardware application would be to tap the encoder to toggle its function, especially with endless encoders. Or have an adittional little 8-note keyboard up there for especially ridiculous solos. I expect most of the time you'd get annoyed because you tried to turn the cutoff knob and accidentally triggered the Funky Drummer loop you foolishly assigned to the touch feature. YOU CLOD.

Is that a disingenuous way of saying monotimbral? They want £500 for a monotimbral va? In 2010?

agreed. the monotimbral VA is just boring considering what's avalaible right now. I mean, when I saw it was monotimbral, I just stopped being "interested"... booooring.
