i don't understand why shit like this isn't taught academically before college (in america)

a pretty superficial look too. that entire site stinks of 'badass internet dude tells you how shit is', which is a dime a dozen these days. fuck maddox and his clan of ogres.

this doesn't mean i agree/disagree in respect to the 'selling out' concept, i just find that article too shallow to take seriously, anything it says should be obviously figured out by now. it's just rehashing points even the simpsons made a decade ago.

I had to read a selection of that at the beginning of a univerisity course about 1960's counterculture so as to prevent the class from starting off with some idealistic view of the era...thank god the professor who taught the course wasn't some nostalgic ex-hippie.
