Quite a few of the people out of my lab work/have worked on research regarding effects of radiation on wildlife at Chernobyl. My advisor has this awesome picture of some trees that were being harvested, it's of the bases of a bunch of logs lined up, with the growth rings all fucked up sorta uniformly, with a light snow on top of it. It's beautiful!

But still radiation=bad.
