ventolin68
"Soul Center is Thomas Brinkmann's fonkier alter-ego, a persona he's periodically revisited to unload his weirder inclinations since 1999. While experimental leaning, Soul Center tracks are keenly focussed on the groove, providing a more merry adjunct to more atmospheric and rigid releases under his own name. The giddy German shuffle of 'Walk With Me' from his Curle 12" is a big highlight here, also exemplifying the bandy strut found in the unstable tech-house of 'Hal2010', and really played out in the Billee Bob-esque hi-tek funk of 'Boot Box'. (...) but those other tracks are about as explicitly funky as it gets in German techno, and well worth your attention." KGW
Samples? More details? I'm a pretty big Thomas Brinkmann fan and he is absolutely ridiculous live (as Soul Center). Saying that, his music doesn't really lend itself that well to albums. I will definitely give this a listen though.
