Just found out bout this the other day scoping the internets... think it might have slipped by the watmmers unless the forum search function is defective... so apologies if "jazz"......

big j. nothing fan so was prety psyched to discover an unheard new(ish) double album release....

1st cd is like a mix between shambhala number one and his earlier stuff whereas 2nd cd is a bit if a new path, (yet to give that a proper listen, requires a bit more attention than the quickly satisfying 1st cd)

not sure if he's just being lazy by using the same loops, drums, kiddie vocals and noises for all tracks or is going for more of a concept feel but there is some real gems in there, this is one of my current faves.....

any love....?

bollocks, wrong track..... but to be honest if you thought that eugene then joseph nothing is probably the wrong artist for you... he has a lot of love for extremely happy melodies,

Yeah, I don't care that he's using the same samples as he was in 2001, this record is really good. On the concept thing, I'd like to know a few things for sure. I believe his earlier stuff was inspired by a dilapidated, closed theme park near to where he was living? Think I read that in an ancient enooze interview. If anyone from a music news website is reading, do a 2010 interview and you will gain one rss subscriber.

i guess i never noticed his (over) use of sampling til shambhala number 2 when those drums (admittedly really phat and full sounding kit) are used in a few tracks in a row......

i dunno, i feel it slightly detracts from the album, if only slightly as i don't think anyone corners that computer game euphoric dreamland synths and breaks sound like nothing... so i still love him..... just a minor criticism really.....

has anyone heard deadland after dreamland...? been wanting to hear that for some time..... any good...?

Deadland after Dreamland is awesome... but a lot of the songs are sort of remixes from the original Dreamland album. I don't think it detracts at all though!

dreamland idle orchestra is my favorite album of his. I've listened to shambhala 2 & 3 once so far, and I must say they outdo volume 1 for me. I like that you get two completely different albums in one package. the packaging for the 2cd is pretty neat, by the way. it's a double digipak inside a slipcase, and the digipak folds out into a triangle with a big drawing.
