do you use a bandwidth meter?

i need a bandwidth meter that measures cumulative usage of both up- and down- stream over an entire month... would anyone recommend me one?

You're supposed to have an account on your ISP's website, which contains stats about your daily bandwidth consumption. That's the way it works on my ISP, at least.

Otherwise, check your connection's status in Windows' network options. It reveals the transfered data LIVE since your computer started up.

Question: how can I measure the bandwith of an ipfw pipe or queue. thanks in advance chaqosmachine

Aye me too. Though I stopped checking as for about a year I never made up past about 10% of my bandwidth allowance.

I don't think socialism has anything to do with that. Canada is a socialist country, I have a cap. South Korea is very much a free market country, I had no cap (and incredible speeds...god I miss those days).

my isp actually injects a big red message into the html of the pages you're viewing when you get past 75% of the cap.

your windows will tell you the bandwith. click your picture for the networks
