I FLAC'ed it and compared the recordings with my FLACs of the old capitol CD releases of man machine, computer world and radioactivity. Der Katalog is cleaner, crisper, better highs and lows. all the talk of artifacts in the music is bullshit. also to say that the remastering and new editions (that were done by the band members themselves) are shit completely undermines the Kraftwerk revisionist ethos.

oh and its not electronic but the joy division heart and soul box set is pretty awes.

I'll probably check out that Danny Elfman/Tim Burton soundtrack box set when it comes out, if I can find it at a reasonable price.

but it is the kling klang remasters from last year. as it was released last year. "The Catalogue" that was released in the States last year was not "der katalog" that was given promo release around 4 years ago. It's just a box set of the kling-klang remasters with big artwork.

1970's-era Kraftwerk sounds better with the original sound quality , their music is not about "how crisp" it sounds.

When TEE came out, they said the album is suppose to sound like the 1940's glamour. (I don't see how make it sound like The Tuss will capture the original intent of the artists)
