i think i'm on to something pretty good, just little lost on where to go from here..

need to shape up some drum hits and fill in some empty space perhaps.

Delay/reverb/saturation on that bass. Or put in a counter bass, different pitch in the gaps the other one leaves.

Other than that, good.

Put a slow phaser on the chords and the same goes for the snare. Add echoes and reverbs to the snares here and there. See if you can add these effects live because that always leaves some impulsive effect choices. Also add a simple 4/4 hi hat because that'll really help the flow of the track. Right now it sounds like it's building up for something huge but that huge thing never happens. A hi hat and some nice dub effects would definitely help you out.

this comes across like an amalgam of autechrean and burialistical styles, very nice 5 stars
