If you need this you should never ever be allowed to make music.

Oh come on. Look past the enabling of noobs and look at the potential for seasoned musicians. All these chord options laid out like this with automatic voice leading.

If I would have written the progression anyway then I can just use Improvisator to make the voice leading instead of having to take all that time to write the tenor and alto parts. Then I can lop off the soprano from the chords and write my own soprano melody and/or run the MIDI out of the plugin into a synth with an arpeggiator. Awesome.

"Be allowed" to make music, LOL

Looks like an interesting tool. An old air organ I used to have at my house had button operated chords (and hey, so do autoharps) and those were a good time to jam on. I don't think I'll be using this Improvisator thing, but it looks interesting. Thanks for the link.

What "seasoned musicians" do you imagine will ever use this product?

Looks kind of complicated, is there a lite version?

No. But if you have any questions about the theory behind I can try and help.

This is the cooler non-vst version of this. + it's made by Wolfram, who we all know is currently working to build skynet to kill us all. It's can't get more idm.

there's a similar looking chord sequencer in numerology, but whenever i've played with it i'm never happy with the results. i think chords and harmonies are best worked out on the fly by ear - i guess a tool such as these could help with that, but it's pretty simple to get something going from scratch anyway.

I would say that they are barely alike. Improvisator is mostly for automatic voice leading, not music generation.

That being said, WolframTones blows my mind.
