The xx tracks, just in case no one has heard them.

i was surprised how much i liked this when i listened the other week. i remember hearing it when it came out and thinking it was kind of annoying.

its actually just really sexy and warm.

The album is amazing.. one of my favorite "new" bands. Hope for some more soon!

Jamie is going solo with a new dubstep project under the name Jamie XX, and has a realease soon "Far nearer". There are radio rips up around the web.

I feel that I like 'Intro' more than the other songs.

not heard the album apart from 1 track but i heard fourtet's remix and thought it was pretty rockin

there used to be 2 girls, 1 left last year.

Bah, they seem to be one-trick ponies, their one trick being the AT&T ad. Shit made me fall asleep.

They were nice when interviewed on NPR, and I was surprised they made this stuff so young!

That intro is played in some Radio 2 ads. Wondered where it was from

Why are you surprised that there's no thread for this? Because they use a drum machine?

I was fairly keen on the album until i saw them live in February. let's just say a bunch of us turned up really stoked to see the exciting new band with the cool album... and we all looked at each other after 5 songs and walked off to another stage.

Their shit might work in a small club, but with a big stadium PA and swimming in reverb it sounds cold and pompous and unengaging. like 80s cock rock ballads or something.

if you're liking the album though, you will definitely want to check out Young Marble Giants if you haven't already - basically the source of 80% of the xx's ideas...

Anyone who says that they only have 1 good track is a moron and should go listen to the album again.

I didn't like the album much at first but it really grew on me.

It sounds slightly post rocky to me (well... IMO most post rock bands use VERY similar melodies... the ones that sound like Mogwai, Godspeed, World's End Girlfriend etc).

The album is great, but it needs a few repeated listens to really get into the sound. Well worth it though!

as for there music, i quite like a few of there songs, not to sure which, i remember hearing there album at a party and didnt like it that much. they do seem like a nice bunch though and the jamie guy seems to have good taste music based on a set list of a set he did.

The weird thing about that pic is that the thumbnail somewhere on my computer for the pic didn't show the text for some reason. Tripped me out when I noticed.

They remind me a lot of "The Sound", so of course I like it. The Sound was much better though.
