sidewinder
Will listen. Thanks for the news. Still haven't fully wrapped my head around the last one. It's pretty intense, some great songs though. homecharlie
This probably doesn't qualify as a new release anymore, but I wanted to give it a bump anyway. I finally got around to getting this album, and I have to say that I like it a lot better than the first one (which was very good in its own right anyway). I think Nuearz hurt himself by releasing this so quick on the heels of the previous album, since most people probably hadn't finished digesting the first one and weren't ready to give it a chance (I know that's where I was). Anyway, if you let this slip through the cracks like I did, you might want to give it a look... there's some very good stuff here. It's similar to Saturation Point, but the tracks are a bit sharper and have more variety. It is a good release and I agree with you about it not getting much attention due to its release so soon after Saturation Point, which hadn't been full digested. It's a pretty intense album (SP). I probably played this once at most before today. I'd been meaning to give it another spin so thanks for giving me the idea when I saw your post last night. I feel this is a bit more smooth than Saturation Point, which was quite abrasive at least on the first few plays. Also the title track reminds me of Madonna's "Vogue" a bit, I wonder if that's intentional. Anyway the album is worthy of your time. superstix
According to this interview with Nuearz, Skam was going to release both Saturation Point and Face Lift as a 2xCD, but "the plan was changed". I consider it like a 2-part series.... just by listening to them you can tell the tracks were all written around the same time, with the same ideas in mind. Terpentintollwut
Yeah it's pretty neat! Especially the track Hedonism is superb. The title track pretty much has the sickest beat ever but I don't like how it progresses so much.
